General Leon E. Salomon retired from active duty on the 30 April 1996. Prior to his retirement General Salomon commanded the U.S. Army Material Command from February 11, 1994. General Salomon was Vice President for Purchasing and Logistics and in turn the Senior Vice President for Procurement, Rubbermaid Inc. He retired from Rubbermaid in March of 1999. He is now a Logistics Consultant out of Gulfport, Florida. General Salomon is also on the boards of three companies, the Army Science Board, the Honorary Colonel of the Ordnance Corps, Emeritus, and is a Senior Fellow of the Association of the United States Army.
